A Midlife Renaissance for Women

You don’t need to become someone new.

There is still more of you to discover.

And room for more of you to become.

You can put your bags down here.

Midlife can arrive carrying rather a lot.

The people we love. The work that matters. The things that need remembering. Bodies that are changing. Lives that don’t always fit quite as neatly as they once did.

And somewhere amongst it all, another voice telling us what we should be doing better.

This isn’t another one of those places.

The House of Habits isn’t about becoming a new woman. It’s about creating the conditions that allow more of the woman who is already there to emerge.

Welcome to the House.

Our lives are built in ordinary moments.

What we eat. How we move. How we rest. How we sleep.
The things that bring us joy. The way we speak to ourselves.
The small choices we make again and again.

The House of Habits imagines these parts of everyday life as rooms in a house.
Not rooms to perfect.
Rooms to live in.

Because a flourishing life is rarely built through one dramatic transformation.
It is built quietly, in the way we live our days.

A glimpse inside.

The House is made up of rooms for ordinary life.

MEET NORA

Living a life. Building a house

I’m Nora Prunty Briggs — a writer, mother, and a woman in midlife too.

The House of Habits grew out of my own journey — and a growing curiosity about what helps us feel more like ourselves again and what might lie ahead.

I’m not standing outside this House with all the answers.

I’m living in it too.

Come in

You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Perhaps there is still more of you to discover.
